50th Anniversary of the Sydney Opera House

Save the date! This autumn, The Britain-Australia Society will host a party in London to mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Sydney Opera House – an international icon and feat of modern engineering. The event will take place in in the stunning Great Hall of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

The Britain-Australia Society promotes the rich relationship between Australia and the United Kingdom by celebrating the shared history and furthering longstanding cultural, educational, sporting and inter-governmental links. Lord Hague of Richmond is their President and headquarters are in Australia House in London – with branches in seven regions across the UK.
