Art Trail: Light at the End of the Tunnel
April 12 @ 6:30 pm - April 14 @ 9:30 pm

For three nights in April, Newcastle Cathedral invites visitors to enjoy a contemplative audio-visual art trail celebrating humanity and our search for hope.
Open 6.30 – 9.30pm on 12, 13 and 14 April, the Light at the End of the Tunnel art trail will feature the work of six artists – including UK-based award-winning Māori artist and designer Frederick Worrell – who create with light and sound. They each responded to the Cathedral’s invitation for proposals that would ‘bring forward feelings of hope, light and joy’, and their work shines a light on some of the Cathedral’s most beautiful and meaningful spaces.
*Please note your ticket time is the period of time for which you may arrive. All ticket holders are welcome to stay until the end of the event at 9:30pm. Café 16 in the Cathedral refectory will also be open till late, offering hot and cold refreshments. The café, run by Northumberland charity The Oswin Project, is staffed by a team of prison leavers, giving them opportunities to learn new skills and find a new direction on release.
