Dean Cross exhibition: Sometimes I Miss The Applause
May 25 @ 11:00 am - July 29 @ 4:00 pm

This summer the Sidney Nolan Trust will host an exhibition of work by Dean Cross, further developing the Trust’s work with contemporary Australian artists. Cross was born and raised on Ngunnawal / Ngambri Country and a Worimi man through his paternal bloodline.
Works will include Cross’s recent twin-channel video work, SOMETIMES I MISS THE APPLAUSE, that draws upon some of Nolan’s most recognisable imagery, including his stylised Ned Kelly helmet. Originally commissioned by the Heide Museum of Modern Art in tandem with the museum’s 2022 exhibition Sidney Nolan: Search for Paradise, the exhibition looks at art and life in a post-Nolan Australia.
Sidney Nolan Trust 2023 opening dates and times: The Rodd is open Thursday to Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm. For full details about what’s on and where to find the Trust visit www.sidneynolantrust.org .
