The authors will be in conversation with writer and leading crime fiction critic, Craig Sisterson, with copies of the authors’ books on sale on the night.

About the Authors…
Emma Styles writes contemporary Australian noir about young women taking on the patriarchy. She grew up on Whadjuk Noongar Country in Western Australia and now lives in London where she was born. Her debut novel, No Country for Girls, won the Little, Brown UEA Crime Fiction Award in 2020, and after publication was shortlisted for the 2023 CWA Dagger’s and the Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize.
Chris Hammer is a leading Australian crime fiction novelist, author of the internationally bestselling Martin Scarsden series: Scrublands, Sliver and Trust. Chris has been shortlisted for numerous literary awards throughout Australia, the UK and the United States. Winning the CWA Blood Dagger Award in 2019. Before turning to fiction, Chris was a journalist for more than thirty years.
