Explore Ensemble‘s Sound Unwrapped programme spans the extremes of harmony, noise, speed, and space: Cassandra Miller’s For Mira flings a solo violinist into a web of fiery folkish loops, before Rebecca Saunders’ murmurs engulfs the audience in a spatialised tapestry of shadowy textures and melodic fragments, while Catherine Lamb’s Parallaxis Forma, with Aussie vocalist Lotte Betts-Dean, sinks ever deeper into vivid hues of radiant just intonation harmonies and wordless song. In the premiere of the new version of Seven Reorganisations, Beatrice Dillon’s first entirely acoustic work dives into instrumental reimaginings of electronic sound, spaces, and generative processes.
