Incubator exhibition Five By Five featuring Australian artist Alice McCabe
January 10 @ 5:30 pm - March 10 @ 7:30 pm
Australian multi-media artist Alice McCabe features in an exciting new London exhibition in January.
McCabe, who specialises in creating floral installations, paintings and performances often with foraged and found materials of an ephemeral nature, will see her beautiful work, Flipside Gardens, displayed at the Incubator gallery’s new show, Five By Five.
The exhibition pairs five established artists with five emerging artists of their choice. McCabe was selected by artist Georgie Hopton, and says: ‘I cannot wait to see our works in dialogue and with the other partnerships in the space.’
About the exhibition:
Reflecting the ethos of Incubator’s solo show programme, ‘Five by Five’ showcases the work of five established artists working in the UK, each paired with an emerging artist of their choice. The ten artists explore a diverse range of themes through painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation; the kinetic energy that emerges from these pairings ignites by way of their distinctness. If understood as a delicate duet, the liminal space between each artist belies an unspoken dialogue that reveals the harmonious fusion of contrasting perspectives and methodologies.
