New Zealand band Pitch Black – London gig
July 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
New Zealand electronica band Pitch Black are returning to the London stage after a four-year gap. Their summer gig will rattle your ribcages and stimulate your senses with their cutting-edge audio-visual show.
Consisting of Mike Hodgson and Paddy Free, the dance music duo formed in Christchurch 25 years ago. They have since grown to perform their own dub-based music at dance parties across New Zealand and the world.
Since they were last in the UK, they’ve released their first two albums, Futureproof and Electronomicon, on vinyl for the first time and unleashed their version of the Bob Marley classic Exodus.
While the pair have played in front of massive crowds in Europe, they’ve performed few shows in the past two years as Hodgson was stuck in London in 2020 due to Covid-19 closing the borders. During their time apart, the band kept busy by sharing music projects online including doing remixes for other artists.
Pitch Black will be performing at Colours Hoxton, London, on 13 July. Their last London show sold out, so don’t delay!
