Nick Cave in Conversation with Seán O’Hagan – Cheltenham Literature Festival

October 14 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm

nick cave

Australian musician and writer Nick Cave and journalist Seán O’Hagan are live in conversation to discuss Faith, Hope and Carnage, a new book exploring Cave’s inner life. Created from over 40 hours of intimate conversations between Nick and Seán, the book draws candidly on Cave’s life, from his early childhood to the present day, his loves, his work ethic and his dramatic transformation in recent years.

Faith, Hope and Carnage examines questions of faith, art, music, freedom, grief and love, offering ladders of hope and inspiration from a true creative visionary. There will be the opportunity for the audience to ask questions that will be answered live on stage by Nick and Seán.

The book has also been narrated by Nick and Seán for the audio version. It was recorded so that the listener – when wearing headphones – is hearing the speech as though they’re sitting between the two men. The audiobook version will also feature several musical snippets from three Cave albums – Carnage, Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen.
