Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery presents: The ATM Project by Jackie Case
June 27 @ 8:00 am - July 2 @ 5:00 pm

In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about the confluence of art and money. But, not until Australian artist Jackie Case built her own bespoke ATM machine has it been possible to put a credit card into an ATM and receive an original work of art.
The Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery presents Case’s new show, The ATM Project, which combines new graphite works by the Melbourne-based artist together with a performance piece, Art Transfer Matrix – prompting questions about artistic agency and identity in the contemporary world.
The transfer matrix is like a ‘special art ATM’ from which Case will dispense personalised drawings to customers equipped with a customised Jackie Case credit card. This is the first time the artist is bringing it to the UK – exclusively for visitors of the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery. During the performance, Case, hidden within her custom-built ATM machine, will produce ten-minute drawings for visitors.
The performances will take place on Saturday 1 July, 11am-12.30pm, and 4pm-5.30pm. In addition to The ATM Project, Case will teach a children’s drawing class to celebrate the launch of her new book, With a Little Sprinkle of Courage. For those unable to attend Saturday’s events, an exhibition of Case’s exquisite drawings will be on display in the gallery until Saturday 8 July.
