Sunday lunch and concert at West Green House and Gardens
September 17, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
You’re invited to join the Australian Music Foundation (AMF) at a special lunch party at West Green House in Hampshire – the home of Australian garden author and former marketing manager of the Sydney Opera House, Marylyn Abbott.
Marylyn has generously offered AMF this wonderful opportunity to host a five-course Sunday lunch with wine and music in her beautiful home as a fundraiser for the AMF Awards Fund.
Since the pandemic, more and more young Australian musicians have struggled to find grants to support their studies overseas, and AMF would like to be able to increase the number of their awards to help as many as possible to achieve their dreams.
The house is never open to the public, so this is a rare chance for a select number of guests to take in the atmosphere of this delightful Queen Anne property, where they will enjoy drinks and canapés before a very special lunch prepared by John Kahout, previously head chef of the Orient Express.
After lunch, coffee will be served and guests will be treated to a short concert featuring AMF alumna, soprano Sky Ingram (Royal Opera, Opera North, Garsington Opera), who is kindly donating her services for this important fundraising event.
Later, guests will be able to enjoy a walk around the amazing gardens and see the lake where the opera festival takes place each year.
Space is limited for this one-off opportunity in such a delightful setting, so AMF hopes that eighteen generous benefactors will be eager to secure their places!
To book your place: please email the AMF administrator Sally-Ann Shepherdson. Minimum donation is £250 per person – you will be sent details of how to make this donation via online banking or by cheque.
