‘We, Us, Them’ – Exhibition
March 3, 2022 @ 8:00 am - May 21, 2022 @ 5:00 pm

What does it mean to represent a community? That is the question at the heart of the new creative platform, We, Us, Them. Borne out of the collaborative relationship between Belfast Exposed (Belfast, UK) and the Centre for Contemporary Photography, the project sees a diverse group of artists explore personal reflections on collaboration, communal history, identity and place.
Conceived as part of the 2021-22 UK/Australia Season, We, Us, Them recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the sovereign people and the Irish Traveller community as First Nation ethnic minorities. The project has been developed from an ambition to reflect self-determination and control, platforming and celebrating the achievements of diverse communities: ownership of image and archive, the power of collaboration and collective, and connecting and promoting indigenous languages and cultures and acknowledging the strength and resilience of communities surviving and adapting to their changing environments.
Artists featured: Raphaela Rosella, Anu Kumar, Cate Consandine, Julie Rrap and Helen Sloan. Click here to read more about the artists.
