New Zealand-born, Australia-raised musician Jordan Rakei will release his new album A Safe Place To Be Wild this October.
The London-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist is known for a distinctive sound that blends soul, jazz, alternative R&B, electronic music and intimate songwriting.
A Safe Place To Be Wild is Rakei’s seventh LP, arriving after more than a decade of music-making and creative experimentation. The album places vulnerability, emotional honesty and uninhibited self-expression at its centre, marking a new chapter for an artist who has continually pushed at the edges of genre.
The forthcoming record includes latest single Enemies, and follows Rakei’s 2024 album The Loop.
Rakei has described the album as a chance to move into new musical territory, shaped in part by his time recording at Abbey Road Studios, where he was appointed the studio’s first artist in residence in 2024.
Alongside the album release, Rakei has also announced his biggest headline tour to date, including a London show at Alexandra Palace on 24 April 2027 as part of the A Safe Place To Be Wild tour.
