The iconic Australian story that became a global phenomenon is hitting the road again. Priscilla Queen of the Desert, based on the Oscar-winning 1994 Australian film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, returns in 2026 with a brand new 30th anniversary tour across the UK and Ireland.
Following three drag performers on a wildly funny and unexpectedly moving road trip across the Australian Outback, Priscilla is a joyous celebration of friendship, family (chosen and otherwise), and the freedom to be unapologetically yourself. The original film, written and directed by Australian filmmaker Stephan Elliott and starring Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce and Terence Stamp, has long been a cornerstone of Australian queer cinema and a major cultural export.
This new production stars Adèle Anderson (Fascinating Aïda) as Bernadette, Kevin Clifton (Strictly Come Dancing, Chicago) as Tick/Mitzi, Nick Hayes (Groundhog Day, Remembrance Monday) as Felicia/Adam, and Peter Duncan (Hairspray, Pretender) as Bob/Preacher. Directed by Olivier Award-nominee Ian Talbot OBE, with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole and all-new costumes by BAFTA-winner Vicky Gill (Strictly Come Dancing), it promises to be bolder, brighter and more fabulous than ever.
The show is packed with disco and dance anthems including Hot Stuff, It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Finally and more – all wrapped around a distinctly Australian tale of a pink bus, a long road, and three performers determined to put on the show of a lifetime.
