London Pacific Fashion Week will kick off this Friday with a colourful catwalk showcase of Kirrikin‘s SS23 collection. Founded by Amanda Healy, an award-winning fashion entrepreneur from the Wonnarua region in Australia, Kirrikin collaborates with contemporary Aboriginal artists to create luxury resort-ware.

The event will take place at the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery in London, which will partner with London Pacific Fashion Week (LPFW) to mark the programme’s 10th anniversary. A champion of Pacific art, design and culture, LPFW platforms diverse talent from indigenous Oceanic communities.

A select shortlist of designers from the Pacific travel to London each year for LPFW, which coincides with London Fashion Week, to promote their brands and gain global exposure. In recent years, KIRRIKIN has prioritised working with environmentally-conscious materials, chiming with LPFW’s theme of sustainable fashion.

Bringing together diplomats from the Pacific First Nation states, collectors of Aboriginal art and rising fashion industry talent, the Rebecca Hossack Gallery is thrilled to host the catwalk presentation of KIRRIKIN’s SS23 collection. The much-anticipated display will be celebrated with a champagne reception and a performance by the London School of Hula and Ori.
