Double honour for New Zealand’s Rebecca Bassett-Graham at the National Dance Awards
New Zealand dancer Rebecca Bassett-Graham has been nominated for two major awards at the 25th National Dance Awards in the UK — a remarkable achievement that highlights her growing impact on the international dance scene.
Bassett-Graham, who performs with the Company Wayne McGregor, has been shortlisted for both Best Female Dancer and Outstanding Female Modern Performance for her role in Autobiography. These nominations place her alongside some of the most celebrated names in UK and international dance.
Organised by the Dance Section of the Critics’ Circle, the National Dance Awards recognise excellence across performances staged in the UK during 2024. This year's nominations list is the most diverse yet, with 365 individuals and companies acknowledged across a range of categories.
Rebecca Bassett-Graham's recognition reflects not only her technical brilliance and emotional range but also marks an important moment of visibility for New Zealand dancers in the UK’s prestigious dance circles.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on Monday 9 June 2025, with the venue to be confirmed.
