Trevor Ashley Receives Olivier Award Nomination

Australian performer Trevor Ashley has been nominated for a 2026 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical.

Ashley is recognised for his performance as Roger De Bris in the West End revival of The Producers, currently running at the Garrick Theatre in London. A flamboyant and scene-stealing role, Roger De Bris is one of the musical’s most memorable characters, and Ashley’s portrayal has been widely praised for its comic precision and theatrical flair.

A leading figure in Australian cabaret and musical theatre, Ashley has built an international reputation for his bold performances, vocal power and sharp wit. His Olivier nomination marks a significant milestone in his UK career and highlights the continued presence of Australian talent on the West End stage.

The Producers, with music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, has received multiple nominations in this year’s awards, including Best Musical Revival.
