Sam Neill lights up screens in new series Invasion

Can Hollywood star and FANZA Arts Patron, Sam Neill, defend Oklahoma against a terrifying alien takeover?

That is the question that lies at the heart of his exciting new television series, Invasion, in which the New Zealand actor plays Sheriff John Bell Tyson, who is tasked with exactly that.

Released this month on Apple TV+, his performance has been described by critics as ‘the kind of reminder that American audiences need of Neill’s grizzled greatness.’

The show’s creator Simon Kinberg says of working with the Jurassic Park star: ‘What I love about him is that he’s a character actor at heart, and that he is a chameleon. He can play all these different kinds of roles. I really love that he’s a very nuanced, detailed type of character – even in the Jurassic movies – there’s sort of a restraint and texture to the way he performs.’
