House of Oz, the colourful artist platform at Edinburgh Fringe, has been announced as one of seven innovative and exciting projects supported through the Australian government’s International Cultural Diplomacy Arts Fund to showcase Australian talent on the international stage.
Australian artists are storytellers who help Australians know themselves, understand each other and let the world get to know them. House of Oz 2023 will host eight resident shows and three line-up shows as well as examples of Australian visual art and gastronomy.
Their passion for amplifying Australian art drives them every day and they are “honoured” that the Australian government recognises them in this way. “We know that this support will make a marked difference to the future of our endeavours and our artists,” they add.
“Australian artists are among the world’s best, so it’s only fair we share that with the rest of the world.”
— The Hon Tony Burke MP, Minister for the Arts
