Panto season has arrived - and this year the Lyric Hammersmith’s festive spectacular features a familiar Antipodean face. Australian performer Sam Harrison (Crazy For You) joins the cast as Dame Trott in a bold, high-energy retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk, packed with music, mischief and West London magic.

Written by Sonia Jalaly and directed by Nicholai La Barrie, the production reimagines the classic tale inside the strict halls of Fleshcreep Academy, where Jack and Jill find themselves up against a fearsome headteacher - and, eventually, a giant waiting beyond the clouds. Expect musical bangers, whip-smart comedy and plenty of Lyric Hammersmith charm.

The cast also includes John Partridge as Fleshcreep, Joey James as Jack, Jade Hackett as Fairy Godfather and newcomer Sienna Widd as Jill, alongside an ensemble of rising talents.

The panto forms part of the Lyric’s wider festive programme, which also features Raymond Briggs’s Father Christmas, Christmas Comedy Nights and A Merry Lyric Christmas.
