Acclaimed Australian director Suzanne Chaundy makes her UK directorial debut this summer with Puccini’s Tosca at West Green House Opera in Hampshire.
Presented as part of West Green House Opera’s 2026 summer festival, the production will be staged in the company’s atmospheric Green Theatre, set within the gardens of West Green House.
One of opera’s great thrillers, Tosca unfolds in Rome over 24 hours, moving through passion, jealousy, political power and betrayal as the singer Floria Tosca is drawn into a deadly struggle with the corrupt police chief Scarpia.
Chaundy comes to West Green House following her acclaimed work on Melbourne Opera’s monumental production of Wagner’s Ring cycle, and now directs Puccini’s gripping drama for UK audiences.
The cast includes Mari Wyn Williams as Tosca, Sam Furness as Cavaradossi and Jean-Kristof Bouton as Scarpia, with Alice Farnham conducting.
