Acclaimed Australian supernatural horror Leviticus arrives in UK cinemas from Friday 4 September, following its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
Written and directed by Australian filmmaker Adrian Chiarella, the film follows two teenage boys, Naim and Ryan, living in an isolated conservative community in regional Victoria. As a romance develops between them, they find themselves pursued by a violent supernatural entity that takes the form of the person they desire most — each other.
The film stars Joe Bird and Stacy Clausen, alongside Australian actors including Mia Wasikowska, Ewen Leslie and Nicholas Hope. Produced by Causeway Films, the team behind Australian horror hits including Talk to Me and The Babadook, Leviticus combines a queer coming-of-age story with supernatural horror.
London audiences can also catch a special preview screening at the Barbican on Thursday 3 September, followed by a ScreenTalk with Chiarella and Bird.
