A gothic classic is reborn on the West End as Australian director Kip Williams brings his acclaimed cine-theatre adaptation of Dracula to London - with Cynthia Erivo performing all 23 roles.
First staged by Sydney Theatre Company in 2024, Williams’ production follows the groundbreaking visual language he pioneered in his Olivier Award–winning The Picture of Dorian Gray starring Sarah Snook. Combining live performance with real-time video, split-screen storytelling and high-impact design, Dracula will push theatre into thrilling new territory.
Erivo (Wicked, Harriet, Genius: Aretha) transforms into an entire cast of characters as the story unfolds: a crumbling castle in the wilderness, a shadowy presence waiting in the dark, and a hunt that becomes increasingly seductive, dangerous and impossible to resist.
Presented at the Noel Coward Theatre, this is one of 2026’s most anticipated openings - and a major moment for Australian theatre-making on the global stage.
