A new live music showcase dedicated to Australian and New Zealand talent in London launches at Brixton Jamm this October.

Southern Sounds is a new initiative from Aussies in London, following an all-Australian music showcase earlier this year. The organisers plan to make it an ongoing event, bringing Australian and Kiwi musicians together and creating a regular platform for Antipodean talent in the capital.

The inaugural Southern Sounds runs from 2pm to 10pm on Saturday 17 October, with a day-long programme of Australian and New Zealand artists.

Entry is free with advance registration, with £5 entry after 6pm. Seating is limited, with standing room available throughout the venue.

For London audiences, the new showcase offers a chance to discover Australian and New Zealand musicians already performing and building audiences in the UK — and could provide a useful new platform for artists coming through in future years.
